The Executive
Director shall be a spokesperson for the Council, serving as liaison
to the arts community, local and state government officials, and the
general public. The Executive Director shall manage the Council
office, supervise office staff, develop and coordinate the functions
of the art center and gallery component of the office. The
Executive Director is expected to develop a sustainable funding
program for office operation and a capital fund campaign for a
permanent art center and gallery; and shall collaborate with Council
board directors and/or committees in grants distribution,
cooperative ventures among member organizations, fund-raising
events, cultural projects, membership management, and public
relations activities.
Applicant shall
be expected to demonstrate skills in communication and leadership,
financial and project planning, office and gallery management,
abilities in fund-raising and grantsmanship as well as computer
skills. College degree or equivalent experience required.

or part-time, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and
